Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke after a nearly three-hour meeting with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, saying that no political agreement has been reached between Vetëvendosje and LDK.
Kurti said the meeting showed willingness and readiness for future cooperation between the two political parties.
“This is naturally optimistic for both of our political subjects, and I believe it is also something very positive for our country,” Kurti said.
However, he confirmed that despite lengthy discussions, the two sides have not reached a final agreement.
“We discussed different approaches and the possibilities ahead. We need a political agreement that respects the election result,” Kurti stated.
The meeting was part of efforts to overcome the political deadlock and move forward with the formation of Kosovo’s new institutions following the elections.
