Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said no agreement has yet been reached following his latest meeting with Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Lumir Abdixhiku, as talks continue over the formation of Kosovo’s new institutions.

Speaking briefly to reporters after the meeting, Kurti said there was nothing concrete to announce at this stage.

“There is no news as long as we do not have an agreement. Once we reach an agreement, we will be able to inform you,” Kurti said.

The meeting comes as political parties continue efforts to break the institutional deadlock and avoid another election. With the constitutional deadline for the constitution of the new Assembly approaching, pressure is mounting on the parties to reach a political agreement.
