Russia has warned the United States and Turkey over reports of a possible transfer of American weapons and ammunition from Turkish territory to Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Moscow had requested explanations from Washington and Ankara regarding reports that a significant U.S. weapons arsenal stationed in Turkey could be sent to Kyiv.
According to Zakharova, such a move would have direct consequences for Russia’s relations with both countries.
“Such an action would cause serious damage to our bilateral relations with Washington and Ankara,” Zakharova said.
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry rejected the idea of a ceasefire in the Black Sea, arguing that Moscow sees no reason to give Ukrainian forces a period of respite.
Zakharova also accused Ukraine of what she described as “brazen terrorist acts” against maritime transport.
The statements come as tensions between Moscow, Kyiv, and countries supporting Ukraine remain high, with weapons supplies continuing to be one of the most sensitive issues surrounding the conflict.
