LVV leader Albin Kurti said he was entering his meeting with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku in a spirit of “good faith”, but stopped short of revealing whether he would present a specific candidate for president.
Asked by journalists whether he had a particular name in mind, Kurti did not provide a direct answer.
“We will meet with the leadership of the Democratic League of Kosovo, headed by its chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, and we will see how we can move forward together to constitute the institutions of the 11th legislature. Naturally, in good faith and with a positive atmosphere, as always,” Kurti said.
The meeting comes amid ongoing political deadlock over the constitution of Kosovo’s institutions and growing calls for an agreement on a consensus president.
