Prishtina Regional Police carried out a series of operations at various locations last week, executing dozens of court orders and seizing firearms, while issuing thousands of fines for traffic and other violations.
According to a police statement, officers executed a total of 65 court orders, including 47 related to criminal offenses. The remaining orders concerned misdemeanors, court hearings and verification procedures.
Individuals sentenced to imprisonment were transferred to serve their sentences after the completion of police procedures, while those sentenced to fines were released after fulfilling their legal obligations.
During the same period, police also seized 14 firearms in separate operations.
Authorities additionally issued 4,855 administrative fines for various misdemeanors and violations of traffic regulations. Of these, 466 violations were identified using smart vehicles and mobile radar vehicles.
Prishtina Regional Police said security operations and enforcement activities will continue in the coming period.
