Russian strikes across Ukraine have killed at least seven people, while Ukraine claimed responsibility for a drone attack on critical Russian gas facilities more than 3,000 km from the Ukrainian border.
Four people were killed in Mykolaiv and three in Sumy, with dozens more wounded. Ukrainian authorities said civilian and industrial infrastructure was hit.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces said they struck the Novy Urengoy and Purovsky gas facilities in Russia’s Yamal-Nenets region, one of the most remote areas targeted since the full-scale invasion began.
The attacks mark another escalation in Ukraine’s long-range campaign against Russia’s energy infrastructure, as Kyiv seeks to hit strategic facilities far behind the front lines while Russian forces continue their bombardment of Ukrainian cities.
