Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, announced that today in Brussels, he and his Lithuanian counterpart, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, signed a joint agreement officially making Kosovo a member of the Demining Coalition for Ukraine.

In a Facebook post, Maqedonci declared that Kosovo is now the 17th member state of this coalition, which aims to provide support to Ukraine through training in the field of demining.

“This commitment, given as part of the Ukraine Contact Group, is another step taken by Kosovo for the Ukrainian people. We have already delivered two military support packages,” Maqedonci stated.

“Our soldiers will line up alongside our partners on this global democratic front against aggression and violence! Kosovo will continue to stand with Ukraine because we are on the side of justice, the freedom of peoples, and the democratic rights of states,” he added.
