One person was taken to hospital after a major fire broke out on Thursday evening at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire, England.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent several crews to an accommodation building at the barracks, which was found to be fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters also used specialist equipment to bring the blaze under control.
One person was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished, while emergency crews remained at the scene to monitor the situation and began an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
The fire is believed to have started at Gaza Barracks, which is home to the headquarters of a British Army regiment.
Catterick is one of the British Army’s main training centres and also houses important infantry training facilities.
