Protesters continued demonstrations in Prishtina on Friday night, the 17th consecutive evening of protests against the convictions of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

A large number of demonstrators carrying banners reading “Not in My Name” marched toward the Ministry of Justice, where they called for the approval of amendments to the law governing the Specialist Chambers.

Police officers were deployed outside the ministry and formed a cordon as protesters gathered at the site.

At one point during the protest, demonstrators threw pyrotechnic devices, according to Gazeta Express.

The demonstrations have been held nightly under the “Not in My Name” banner, with protesters calling on Kosovo’s institutions to take action regarding the Specialist Chambers and the convictions of former KLA leaders.
