A physical confrontation broke out in the Konjarnik neighborhood of Belgrade, where supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) clashed with citizens backing the Student List.
The confrontation took place at the intersection of Vojislav Ilić and Ustanička streets, where two separate rallies were being held simultaneously.
According to Nova.rs, supporters of the ruling party had arrived in the area before citizens taking part in the “Zbor Konjarnik” initiative. Tensions escalated after a protester from the group supporting the Student List took a flag from one of the SNS supporters.
Following the incident, several people approached the protester, and the situation turned into a physical confrontation.
The incident occurred as Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, speaking from Valjevo, was calling on his supporters to avoid confrontations with supporters of the Student List.
After several hours of tensions, the rally ended and the protesters who had gathered in the area left the scene.
