The European Commission has allocated €2.86 billion to Ukraine to finance drones, air defense systems, missiles, radars, electronic warfare systems and other urgent military needs amid continued Russian attacks.

The funding comes under the EU’s €90 billion Ukraine Support Loan for 2026–2027, which includes €60 billion for defense and €30 billion in budgetary assistance.

“Europe’s unwavering support matters more than ever,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said, stressing the need to help Ukraine defend its skies and save lives.

Since 2022, the EU and its member states have provided €231.5 billion in total support to Ukraine, including €3.8 billion generated from proceeds of frozen Russian assets.
