LDK MP Arben Gashi has commented on the protests in Tirana, arguing that when public discontent reaches massive levels, the democratic solution is to return to the people through free and fair elections.
“Anyone in power must understand that authority comes from the citizens, and ignoring them can have tragic consequences, as the case of Syria teaches us,” Gashi wrote.
He added that political wisdom means listening to citizens before a crisis becomes irreversible.
