Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP Burim Ramadani has reacted to a statement by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova during a meeting with Serbian politician Ivica Dačić, in which she said that “Kosovo is Serbia.”
Ramadani published a video of the meeting, describing the message delivered by the Russian official and the Serbian politician as a direct threat against Kosovo.
According to him, Kosovo and its international partners must take such statements seriously and respond accordingly.
“This sentence, this video, this message from Maria Zakharova of the Kremlin and Ivica Dačić of Serbia is nothing less than a direct threat. ‘I want to tell you what many Serbian friends tell me: Kosovo is Serbia!’ says Zakharova, speaking on behalf of Vladimir Putin, the bloodthirsty leader of our time. This little, round man was once Milošević’s spokesperson. Kosovo and all our friends must respond firmly. This is no joke; it is an open threat,” Ramadani said.
He stressed that such messages must not be underestimated, calling for a serious response from Kosovo and its allies.
