The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has expressed condolences for the death of the writer Ismail Kadare and has paid tribute to him.
He also wrote in the book of condolences placed at the Albanian Embassy in Kosovo.
“Today, as Kosovo observes the National Day of Mourning, I had the honor to sign the book of condolences, remembering the literary giant Ismail Kadare.”
“His extraordinary contributions to Albanian language literature have left an incredible mark on the world. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and admirers,” Hovenier said on platform X.
