The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, today hosted a meeting with the United Kingdom’s Military Representative to NATO and the EU, Lieutenant General Ian Cave CB.
According to the KSF’s announcement, Jashari welcomed General Cave and thanked him for the ongoing support that the United Kingdom provides bilaterally as well as in his capacity as the UK’s military representative to NATO and the EU.
“The excellent cooperation between the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom and the Kosovo Security Force in training, exercises, and joint deployments was highlighted. Additionally, General Jashari informed General Cave about the achievements of the KSF, the transition plan, and his focus as commander within this plan on the development of infantry regiments and specialist capabilities in other units.”
“Cave thanked General Jashari for the reception and congratulated him on the development of the KSF in enhancing its capacities. The two generals also discussed the security situation in Kosovo and the region, as well as the fact that the KSF is a force contributing to the security of the region and beyond,” the announcement said.
Furthermore, Jashari expressed that the KSF is ready to continue its development and to take all necessary actions to become a professional and interoperable force with NATO and its allies.
