Following the operation by the Kosovo Police, which closed the facilities where several parallel Serbian institutions were operating in northern Kosovo, armored vehicles from the Carabinieri have been seen on the main bridge in Mitrovica.
The Iber Bridge has been a major topic in recent weeks in discussions between the Kosovo Government and Western diplomats, who have stated that they do not support its reopening at this moment, calling for the Government to avoid unilateral and uncoordinated actions. However, yesterday afternoon the government carried out an operation in four northern municipalities, placing a “seal” on five facilities there.
