Investigations into the explosive device found in the Ibar-Lepenac waterway are ongoing, and mutual accusations are considered unnecessary. “We urge everyone to allow the investigation to take its course,” said Jorn Rohde, the German ambassador to Kosovo.
“The High Representative has classified this incident as a serious terrorist event, and we are now in the investigation phase. I don’t think such accusations are necessary; we need evidence. Let the investigation unfold. All actors, as I mentioned earlier, must refrain from accusations that could jeopardize stability and create fear among citizens. So far, there has been no clear information to verify the identity of the perpetrators. Therefore, we should let the investigation continue,” said Ambassador Rohde in an interview with RTK2.
Asked about the state of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the possibility of resuming dialogue, the French ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Gueraud, emphasized that dialogue has no alternative.
“Thank you for inviting us to present the viewpoints of our countries, Germany and France, which share the same analysis when it comes to dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. We are deeply convinced that dialogue is the only way forward and the only solution to the problems and normalization of relations. It is necessary for the citizens of both Kosovo and Serbia,” said Ambassador Gueraud.
“The lack of results in the dialogue shows how important it is to reach a successful dialogue, as it directly impacts the lives of people in Kosovo,” he added.
