The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has announced the start of direct flights between Albania and Israel.
He shared the news through a post on the social media platform “X,” calling it wonderful news for further strengthening the ties between Israel and Albania.
“Direct flights not only make travel more convenient, but also open doors for cultural exchanges, tourism, and business opportunities. The historical bond between the two nations, including Albania’s heroic role in sheltering Jews during World War II, is a foundation for a deeper connection,” Rama wrote.
“Encouraging Israelis to explore Albania’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and its growing economy will undoubtedly foster stronger friendships and partnerships. A shared future of cooperation and mutual respect could lead to extraordinary opportunities for both countries. There are many unforgettable memories here and a flourishing friendship,” the Albanian Prime Minister added.
Finally, he thanked President Isaac Herzog for bringing a distinguished group of Israeli entrepreneurs to Albania.
