KFOR Commander Enrico Barduani met with the Dutch Ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Boven, to discuss regional stability and security efforts. The meeting emphasized the Netherlands’ long-standing contributions to maintaining peace and security in the region.

In a press release, KFOR stated that Barduani expressed his appreciation for the Netherlands’ ongoing support. Discussions focused on ensuring sustainable security across Kosovo, addressing the stability of the region, and KFOR’s role in fostering dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade under EU facilitation. Barduani also praised the Netherlands for its consistent contributions to KFOR and the broader efforts to uphold regional stability.

The meeting, according to the statement, is part of Major General Barduani’s regular interactions with his counterparts in Kosovo and the surrounding region.

Operating under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), KFOR remains committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo while ensuring freedom of movement. The mission works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX).
