U.S. and Arab mediators have made significant progress overnight in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, as well as in securing the release of several hostages held in the Gaza Strip.
However, officials stated on Monday that an agreement has not yet been reached, as reported by AP.
Four officials confirmed that progress has been made and noted that the coming days will be critical in bringing an end to more than 15 months of fighting that has destabilized the Middle East.
They spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to discuss the talks.
