The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, during the annual reception with the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Albania, conveyed messages on advancing EU integration, regional cooperation, and partnerships with international partners.
Among other points, Begaj reinforced Albania’s stance of unconditional support for Kosovo.
He also confirmed the country’s commitment to implementing deep reforms, which remain a top priority for Albania’s future and its EU membership, which he considered a major project for peace, well-being, and development.
“The opening of negotiations is not only a recognition of the reforms Albania has undertaken but also a testament to our determination and commitment to advance in this transformative process towards our European belonging. Our journey towards a united Europe is not just a political ambition, but is inextricably linked to values that are precious to us, such as democracy, human rights, and social cohesion.”
“The Albanian people are convinced that democracy, integration, and the rule of law are not granted, but are essential processes that require participation, cooperation, and clear strategies for tangible results.”
