The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, stated that he will not resign from the leadership of the party. Even after today’s electoral results, he said that he takes full responsibility for this and will be accountable only to LDK.
He made these statements in a press conference, emphasizing that he does not consider the outcome of these elections a failure.
“If the people of Kosovo decide to keep us in the opposition, we will stay in the opposition, and we wish the people to make the right and good choice and take responsibility for the elections they made… No, I do not consider it a failure, no, I will not resign. I believe that the growth of LDK from 110,000 votes to the 190,000 votes we expect is a good success,” Abdixhiku declared.
He mentioned that he expects more than 30,000 additional votes for the party in the final results.
