The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, reacted a day after the elections, where his party lost and came in third, reports Sinjali.

Abdixhiku said that the party’s growth provides an opportunity for better internal party organization, but according to him, “this growth is insufficient for changing the Republic at this stage, and for this, I feel regret.”

Full post:

“To all our voters, thank you for supporting our League. To all the citizens of Kosovo, thank you for honoring the democracy of our homeland. To all our activists, thank you for working with such will and emotion in these elections. Nothing was lacking!

We worked well.

We moved forward.

We moved as citizens with big dreams for this Republic.

I hope I led you well; I hope I represented you as you have always deserved!

I look with great pride at the journey made so far. We don’t know any other way, we don’t want any other way, and it shouldn’t be any other way.

Our growth provides an opportunity and peace for better internal party organization — and for this, I will always be proud. But this growth is insufficient for changing the Republic at this stage — and for this, I feel regret.

Despite everything,

There will be light!

At this stage, we continue with the counting of the remaining votes, especially those from the diaspora. After the final count, LDK will present its political positions.”
