The European Union has welcomed the fact that the parliamentary elections in Kosovo were held in a peaceful atmosphere, allowing citizens to express their will.

This was stated by the EU spokesperson for foreign policy and security, Anitta Hipper, in response to questions about the EU’s reaction to the elections in Kosovo and expectations following them.

Hipper said that the EU has deployed an election observation mission in Kosovo, formed by the decision of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell.

The decision to send this mission to observe the elections in Kosovo, as mentioned by Hipper, serves as evidence that the EU considers its relationship with Kosovo to be of great importance.

In addition to the EU observers, the elections were also monitored by local observers, who reported that the elections proceeded without serious incidents, though with some irregularities.
