The Republic of Kosovo has signed the Ljubljana-Hague Convention on international cooperation in investigating and prosecuting genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and other international crimes.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Convention was signed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Belgium, Mr. Agron Bajrami, on Friday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium.
The Kingdom of Belgium is the depositary state of the Ljubljana-Hague Convention on international cooperation in the investigation and prosecution of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and other international crimes. To date, more than forty other countries have signed the Convention.
The goal of the Ljubljana-Hague Convention is to facilitate international cooperation on criminal matters between state parties, aiming to strengthen the fight against impunity for genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and where applicable, other international crimes.
