The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has suspended all military aid to Ukraine following his clash with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week in the Oval Office.

A quick response came from the Kremlin, which said that the pause in American aid is likely to be the best contribution to peace between Russia and Ukraine.

“Of course, we still need to check the details. If it is true, then this decision could really push the Kiev regime towards a peace process,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov added that the United States has been the primary supplier of weapons to Ukraine.

“If the US halts these supplies, this might be the best contribution to the cause of peace,” he further stated.
