KFOR stated that during the meeting held today between Major General Enrico Barduani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, both exchanged views on the current situation in the country.

Additionally, KFOR mentioned that they discussed the cooperation between KFOR and the institutions of Kosovo.

“Major General Barduani emphasized KFOR’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, religion, or political affiliations.”

This meeting was part of the regular interactions between Major General Barduani and his counterparts in Kosovo and the region.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, always and without discrimination. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” said KFOR.
