The commanding general of the U.S. Army for Europe and Africa, Christopher Donahue, visited soldiers and leaders of the Regional Eastern Command at Camp Bondsteel and Camp Nothing Hill.
In a statement from KFOR, General Donahue thanked the soldiers for their commitment to the KFOR mission and learned more about the daily operations.
General Donahue also met with the KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, and discussed the current security situation and the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
“KFOR continues to carry out its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner. KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” the statement said.
