Students have observed a 15-minute silence in several parts of Belgrade as a tribute to the 15 victims of the Novi Sad incident.
This act is repeated every day across Serbia at 11:52 AM – the exact time when the concrete shelter collapsed at the Novi Sad train station.
On Saturday, a protest will be held in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, at the request of students who have blocked universities for the past three and a half months, demanding political and criminal accountability for the deaths of 15 people caused by the collapse of the concrete shelter at the Novi Sad train station.
The protest in Belgrade follows massive marches organized by students in Novi Sad, Kragujevac, and Niš.
For this reason, a large number of police and gendarmerie forces have been deployed in central Belgrade ahead of the protest organized by students.
