UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has emphasized that any potential ceasefire in Ukraine must involve the United States, reaffirming Britain’s commitment to coordinated international efforts.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Starmer stated that his position on the US role in Ukraine’s security remains unchanged.

“This must be done in cooperation with the United States,” he said, adding that his national security adviser had returned from Washington with updates on strategic discussions.

The British leader highlighted that new commitments have been made by international partners, strengthening collective determination. He noted that discussions within the Coalition of the Willing had expanded, reinforcing both defense agreements and broader European security measures.

Starmer confirmed that military talks scheduled for Thursday would be the next key step in operationalizing these commitments, signaling further strategic coordination among Western allies.
