President Vjosa Osmani, expressed her condolences following the devastating tragedy in the city of Kočani. The incident occurred late at night, with at least 51 people confirmed dead after a fire broke out in a nightclub. Over 100 others were reported injured.
Osmani shared her heartfelt sympathies via social media platform X, stating, “The news from Kočani, North Macedonia, is devastating. The loss of so many young lives is a tragedy that words cannot express. We offer our sincere condolences and stand by the families of the victims and the people of North Macedonia during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.”
Minister of Internal Affairs, Panče Toshkovki, confirmed that the injured have been transferred to hospitals in Štip and Skopje for treatment.
