Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the eve of tomorrow’s “Volunteer Coalition” summit.
President Macron welcomed President Zelensky for talks in Paris on Wednesday, just one day before a European leaders’ meeting to discuss the potential deployment of peacekeeping forces to ensure a possible ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
World leaders are set to gather this Thursday in Paris for another summit, where Ukraine and security will be the main topics of discussion. According to the French presidential office, 31 countries, including NATO members, EU leaders, as well as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Norway, are expected to participate.
The summit’s primary objective is to finalize security guarantees that European nations are willing to offer, including whether they will consider deploying peacekeeping forces on the ground in Ukraine.
This meeting comes at a crucial moment after the United States announced it had mediated a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea.
