The European Union has reacted to the recent attack on the Kosovo Post Office in the municipality of Zveçan, emphasizing that it is closely monitoring the investigations into this incident.

The EU strongly condemned the act of violence and underscored the importance of addressing postal services within the EU-facilitated dialogue.

“We strongly condemn the use of violence and reiterate the importance of addressing postal services within the EU-facilitated Dialogue, in accordance with the 2013 Telecommunications Agreement and the 2015 Action Plan,” said the EU’s response to TV Dukagjini.

The EU also reminded that it expects continued efforts to reduce tensions in northern Kosovo, stressing that any unilateral, provocative actions, and divisive rhetoric must be avoided to prevent escalation of the situation.
