Caroline Ziadeh, head of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), highlighted the plight of missing persons during her speech at the UN Security Council. She acknowledged the passing of Bajram Qerkini, leader of the “Voice of Parents” association, who dedicated his life to finding those disappeared during the Kosovo War, including his own son, Reshat. Ziadeh called for continued efforts to assist families in finding their missing loved ones and for no delays in the ongoing work of the joint commission on missing persons.
