The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has welcomed Sudan’s official recognition of Kosovo’s sovereignty, marking a significant milestone in the country’s diplomatic efforts. In a statement following the announcement, Haradinaj emphasized the critical importance of expanding Kosovo’s international recognition, particularly in African nations.

“Sudan’s recognition is a crucial step for Kosovo. The Presidency has been at the forefront of strengthening our international subjectivity, and this recognition further solidifies Kosovo’s position in the global arena,” Haradinaj stated. He called for continued momentum in advancing Kosovo’s international recognition.

Haradinaj underscored the importance of maintaining a swift pace in diplomatic efforts to secure more recognitions, particularly from other nations in Africa and beyond. He expressed his satisfaction with the President’s leadership in this regard and urged further progress.

This marks Sudan as the 119th country to recognize Kosovo as an independent state. This recognition follows a similar move by Kenya in recent weeks, signaling growing support for Kosovo’s sovereignty on the global stage.

Kosovo continues its diplomatic outreach, focusing on strengthening ties with countries across Africa, Asia, and other regions, to ensure broader international support.
