The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, traveled to Turkey to participate in the 4th edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, reports Rks News.

During her stay in Turkey, Osmani stated that President Erdoğan is one of the strongest voices in favor of Kosovo’s membership in NATO and all other international organizations, expressing how fortunate her country is to have such a partner.

Praising the ADF, Osmani said that it is vitally important to bring world leaders together in one place during a time of global insecurity, conflicts, humanitarian crises, and wars.

Highlighting the importance of a human-centered and diplomacy-driven approach, Osmani emphasized that great things can be achieved when countries unite to protect human values.

According to her, the ADF forum reflects “the power of partnership.”

“It is very fitting for us that the forum is being held in Türkiye, a country that has stood by Kosovo as a strong ally, both in dark times and in moments of success,” Osmani stressed.

“Türkiye is one of our most important partners”

President Osmani stated that there are strong ties between Turkey and Kosovo.

“Türkiye was with us during the most difficult times in our region. Türkiye is one of our most important partners in the fields of economy and defense,” Osmani said in an interview with Anadolu Agency.

Furthermore, the Kosovar president emphasized that President Erdoğan is a leader who has always stood by Kosovo, adding that he has supported Kosovo in establishing new collaborations with other countries around the world.

“President Erdoğan is one of the strongest voices for Kosovo’s membership in NATO and all other international organizations,” said Osmani, adding that they are very fortunate to have such a partner and that she will do everything to further develop this partnership.

Osmani also asked Erdoğan to support efforts to convince countries that do not yet support Kosovo’s NATO membership.

“If Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina join NATO, it will bring more stability and peace to the region, and then to the entire European continent—just like when Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro joined NATO, it led to more peace and stability across the region and the whole continent,” Osmani stated.
