Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and European Council President Antonio Costa appeared together in Brussels today, ahead of a key meeting on Albania’s EU accession process. Rama confirmed that Albania is set to open the second cluster of negotiation chapters with the European Union.
Speaking to reporters, Rama emphasized Albania’s commitment to meeting its obligations and completing negotiations by 2027. “We are dedicated to fulfilling the calendar tasks to conclude negotiations within the set timeframe,” he stated.
Antonio Costa praised Albania’s efforts, highlighting the progress the country has made on its path toward European integration.
Later today, Prime Minister Rama will participate in the fourth Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference, alongside European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
