The Municipality of Prishtina will observe Martyrs’ Day tomorrow with a series of commemorative activities in honor of the fallen heroes from the capital. The events are being organized in cooperation with the War Veterans Organization (OVL), the Association of War Invalids (SHFD), and the Association of KLA Families (SHIL).
The program will begin at 10:00 AM with tributes at the Martyrs’ Cemetery Complex in Velani.
At 10:30 AM, honors will be paid at the statue of Hero Zahir Pajaziti.
Following that, a blood donation campaign will take place at Zahir Pajaziti Square starting at 10:45 AM, and additional tributes will be held at 11:30 AM at the cemetery for martyrs and civilians in Makovc.
From 1:00 PM, the central traditional gathering “The UÇK Epopee” will be held in Marec, a key symbolic location tied to the Kosovo Liberation Army’s legacy.
The day of remembrance will conclude at 5:00 PM with a ceremony honoring 71 families of fallen heroes and martyrs. This closing event will take place in the Municipal Assembly Hall of Prishtina, where certificates of appreciation will be distributed.
