The Kosovo Assembly has once again failed to elect a new Speaker. Despite two voting rounds, the candidate proposed by Vetëvendosje, Albulena Haxhiu, did not secure the required number of votes to be elected as Speaker.
In both rounds, Haxhiu received 57 votes, falling short of the 61-vote majority needed to assume the post. The failure to reach a majority led to yet another interruption in the process.
Following the second vote, Avni Dehari, the presiding officer of the constitutive session, decided to adjourn the session for 48 hours, announcing that it will resume on Monday at 3:00 PM.
