Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has expressed his condolences following the death of Pope Francis, emphasizing the late Pontiff’s enduring legacy of humility, justice, and compassion.
“On this Easter Monday, a day of hope and renewal for Christians around the world, we mourn the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis,” Kurti wrote.
He continued by saying:
“His legacy of humility, justice, and compassion will live on forever. On behalf of the people of Kosovo, I extend our deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.”
Pope Francis, the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church, died at the age of 88 in his Vatican residence. His papacy was marked by strong advocacy for peace, interfaith unity, and care for the marginalized.
Kurti’s message joins global tributes to a spiritual figure who left a profound impact on millions, including the people of Kosovo.
