U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, will attend the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome.
The news was confirmed by President Trump himself through his account on the platform Truth Social, where he wrote:
“Melania and I will attend the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome.”
Earlier, Trump had ordered all federal and state flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the Pope.
“He was a good man; he worked hard; he loved the world. And it is an honor to do this,” the Republican stated.
