President Osmani on Official Visit to Malaysia at the Invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has embarked on an official visit to the Federation of Malaysia, following an invitation from the Malaysian Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, President Osmani will be welcomed with an official state ceremony at the Bunga Raya Complex. During her visit, she will hold a formal meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim at the Perdana Putra Government Complex in Putrajaya, followed by a joint press conference.

In honor of the occasion, Prime Minister Ibrahim will host a state luncheon at his official residence, Seri Perdana.

As part of this diplomatic engagement, President Osmani will award the Presidential Medal of Merits to both the current Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, recognizing their ongoing support for Kosovo and contributions to bilateral relations.

In a major diplomatic step, President Osmani will officially inaugurate the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Kuala Lumpur, marking a strategic enhancement of Kosovo’s presence in Southeast Asia. The event will be attended by members of the diplomatic corps and other distinguished guests.

Additionally, President Osmani will meet with representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), along with key figures from Malaysia’s manufacturing, technology, and tourism sectors. The focus will be on exploring concrete opportunities for economic cooperation and attracting Malaysian investments to Kosovo.
