The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, congratulated the leader of the conservative party, Friedrich Merz, on Tuesday after he secured the position of Chancellor of Germany following a secret ballot in the Bundestag.
Through a post on the social media platform X, Osmani extended her congratulations to Merz on behalf of Kosovo.
Among other things, Osmani wrote that she looks forward to working together to advance Kosovo’s rightful path toward membership in the EU and NATO.
In response, Merz thanked Osmani by reposting her message on X.
“Thank you very much, Ms. Osmani,” Merz wrote.
