A casual dinner was held in Tirana between EU leaders and the heads of state from the Western Balkans, ahead of the European Political Community (EPC) summit scheduled for tomorrow.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen shared a group photo featuring all the leaders of the Balkan states.
“In Tirana for the European Political Community meeting. It’s the first one held in the Western Balkans. What a powerful symbol. Our European family of values stretches far beyond the borders of the EU. We share a continent and a common future,” von der Leyen wrote on X.
In the photo, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is seen alongside her Montenegrin counterpart, Jakov Milatović; EU High Representative Kaja Kallas; Albania’s acting Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Bajram Begaj; President of the European Council Antonio Costa; Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk; Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić; Bosnian Presidency member Željka Cvijanović; and North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
