A Serbian national was arrested on Monday on Isa Boletini Street in Mitrovica, after allegedly attempting to bribe Kosovo police officers with cash.
According to the Kosovo Police, the suspect offered money to the officers in an attempt to influence their actions. The case has been classified as “offering a bribe.”
“A Serbian citizen was arrested for offering police officers cash in the form of a bribe. Following the interview and by order of the prosecutor, the suspect was placed in custody,” the police report stated.
The incident highlights continued law enforcement efforts to maintain order and fight corruption in northern Kosovo.
