Armend Zemaj, a deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has stated that the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) is the party refusing the constitution of the Assembly, while other parties maintain a reserved stance.

Prior to today’s Assembly session, Zemaj emphasized that only consensus among political parties can resolve the political deadlock. “Only consensus among parliamentary political entities resolves this political deadlock. We have been clear with our proposal, which was not to buy time, as the Vetëvendosje Movement tries to portray, but to give citizens a unifying way forward for a certain period. We have refusal only from the Vetëvendosje Movement; other parties have been reserved… here we are not to be challenged for personal positions; they are. When a government of unity is called, there are no personal proposals… First, you must find support, and only then discuss personal names and personal topics, as LDK does,” he said.

During his address to the media, lawyer Arianit Koci, acting as a citizen, intervened, demanding a swift solution. Zemaj asked him not to interfere. “Don’t bother me, am I bothering you in your work? I don’t have the manners to bother. You are not the one to tell me whether to speak or not, first and last time you bother me. Do what you want with others, you don’t bother me,” he retorted.

Koci, however, continued, stating that after the 30th session, the direct involvement of the President is required. “The former Special Unit police officer is arrested, and no one from the state of Kosovo is interested. After the 30th time, I demand that the president be directly involved, otherwise, I will hold her responsible as well,” he said.
