PDK deputy Nait Hasani stated that he would support a coalition between PDK and VV only on one condition.
He explained that the only factor that could change his mind is if Albin Kurti’s party shows readiness to take concrete steps to protect former KLA leaders currently being tried by the Special Court.
In the TV1 show “Info Natës,” Hasani clarified what those steps regarding the Special Court should be.
“The change will happen only with one condition. The condition is that if this government enters a coalition with PDK, it must be about the Special Court. That could change my mind. Otherwise, no way at any cost! If they say, ‘Yes, here is the ministry, government, budget, here is the resolution, here are the actions of the investigative committee on the Special Court, with lobbying efforts to win the battle for the KLA, for the state of Kosovo, I am ready to do it! Otherwise, what reason do I have to vote for it?’” he said.
On the contrary, Hasani emphasized he does not have a vote for a coalition with VV.
“I ran personally in the elections and told the voters — those 30,000 people who voted for me on February 9 — that I would not form a coalition with VV. They appreciated my stance. They want me to maintain my position. They want me to stay where they see fit. Therefore, I cannot change my position,” Hasani declared.
