Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, announced he will travel to Moscow this afternoon for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Speaking to reporters in Istanbul, Araqchi stated, “I am going to Moscow this afternoon, and I have a meeting with President Putin tomorrow morning. Russia is a friend of Iran.”

This visit comes at a highly tense moment, following recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
