Kosovo’s elected deputies will make their 36th attempt to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo today at 11:00 AM.
The constitutive session for the Ninth Legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo continued on Saturday, presided over by Deputy Avni Dehari. Chairman Dehari reiterated the request for political entities that had not yet proposed their deputies as members of the electoral commission for the secret ballot election of the Assembly Speaker. However, no new proposals were made.
Subsequently, the proposed composition of the commission, including members from previous continuations of the session, was put to a vote. The presiding chairman of the constitutive session confirmed that 51 deputies voted in favor, one was against, and there were no abstentions. As a result, the Assembly will reconvene within 48 hours, today, June 23, at 11:00 AM.
Meanwhile, following each failed session, representatives of political parties continue to exchange accusations regarding the ongoing institutional deadlock.
