Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, is attending the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government in The Hague as part of the official delegation led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
During his participation, Hasani took part in the NATO-Ukraine Council Meeting, which focused on discussions regarding the grave situation in Ukraine. In this context, he held meetings with high-level international officials, including U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas, as well as counterparts from EU member states and candidate countries.
Albania’s Stance on Ukraine and Alliance Strength
In a social media post, Hasani wrote: “During the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting in The Hague, I reaffirmed Albania’s unwavering support for Ukraine.” He added, “I appreciated the leading role of the U.S. in resolving the crisis in the Middle East, and emphasized the essential role of a strong European pillar for the unity and stability of the Alliance.”
